Synopsis:
Dali Princess is a story about two girls born on the same day, month and year. Though born on the same date, the two come from different classes but their fates are knotted together during the revolution of China in 1911. This story combines love, hatred and forgiveness.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, in Da Li and Yun Nan, Duan Mu Hai is head of the Duan family and is an important character with high very high status. Between the three wives that he married, he treasures his third wife the most because she gave birth to his precious daughter Ai Yue(Ruby Lin). On the day that Ai Yue was born, in the same village, a widowed poor woman gave birth to one baby girl named Ah Xi also.
Seven years later, in Da Li a huge plague was spread swiftly through the land and many deaths were happening. Duan Mu Hai wanted to get rid of the plague, so he decided to cremate the peoples that were infected by the plague. In this number of people, one person was Ah Xi’s mom. She witnessed seeing her mother dying alive and ever since then in her eyes, Duan Mu Hai is her greatest enemy. In the mean time both Ai Yue and Ah Xi got caught in the disease, Ai Yue was cured by a doctor from over seas. On the other hand, Ah Xi was brought to the place ready to be burnt alive. But one servant named Liu Bo En, saved her. After that Ah Xi was saved from an angel in a nearby temple.
Ah Xi and Bo En became best of friends. But not long after, Bo En was

ed by Duan Mu Hai to go study abroad in France. Ah Xi then wandered everywhere and later was

ed by a middle aged man. Ten more years passed but the hatred in Ah Xi’s heart still remain. She bid farewell to the man that

ed her and returned to Da Li in mind to take revenge with a fake name.
Presently in Da Li, Duan Mu Hai lives a peaceful great life. Three of his sons are useless so he leaves all of his hopes in his 17 year old daughter, Ai Yue, a beautiful, kind hearted girl. At this same time, Bo En is coming back from France. On the outside, he is just like a tutor to Ai Yue, but truthfully he is a member of an organization that opposes to the government.
War starts and everything is messed up. In the confusion, Ah Xi saves Ai Yue’s life two time and so gains Ai Yue’s trust. Ah Xi then enters the Duan’s family as a servant. Long Chu Lai, a person that

s Bo En during the times of war, was sent to jail by the government but

of Ai Yue, using her father’s status to get him out of bars. Bo En hates the new government and quits being in politics and became a tutor to Ai Yue. The two turn into lovers but Ai Yue’s father disagrees strongly and Bo En had to end their relationship which sadden Ai Yue terribly. Ai Yue grabbed Ah Xi along and the two drank then becoming sworn sisters.
Ah Xi was smart enough to gain the Duan family’s trust and eventually even get close to Duan Mu Hai himself. Ai Yue disapproves but it was no use. On the day that Ah Xi and Duan Mu Hai get married Ai Yue ran away. From there she followed Long Chu Lai. Not long after that Duan Mu Hai found out Ah Xi’s real identity, but his regrets were no good to Ah Xi. Step by step she turned the Duan household upside down, from the reputation to the money. Ai Yue returns but all her efforts had failed. She doesn’t even get to see her father for the last time.
However time still pass, and Ai Yue was able to fix the Duan family back to the way it was with the

of her family and she managed to mend her friendship with Ah Xi. Once again the plague is spread about in Da Li, and the two of them attend to the

of the sick ones. Ah Xi gets caught with the plague again but will she be able to get better this time?
