Plot: Based on a 1940s Singaporean urban legend, the movie focuses on unsophisticated labourer Leung Kwong (F4's American-born Chinese Vanness Wu, star of the TV hit series "Meteor Garden" ) who gets a job at Guangzhou medical hall Kwong Cheong Tong due to his uncanny resemblance to the Third Master of the family business, a man who has been missing for a good decade. A sexy apparition enters the mystery in the form of the mysterious Fu Rong (Jacqueline Li Xiao Lu a.k.a. Lulu) who haunts Leung and insists he is actually the Third Master indeed. Leung goes to Singapore with his girlfriend Hsiao Chen (Ai Kago) under pressure to discover the truth but as a love triangle develops, we no longer know if Leung knows who he really is.
《借室還魂》的故事發生在新加坡。四十年代的新加坡牛車水適逢農曆鬼節，在多民族聚居的牛車水有著眾多的靈 異鬼怪傳說。而居住在新加坡的華人們，則在此之前剛聽說了一個近似靈異，卻又讓人唏噓的愛情故 事。 有一天鬼節，吳建豪扮演的廣州失業青年梁廣前往老字號藥油廠“廣昌堂”務工。不料，被當地人以為是失蹤多年 的三老板崔正廣。後來他在廣昌堂工作期間，神秘女子小芙蓉（李小璐飾演）救了他，並說他是自己等了10年的 三少。梁廣為了探究這其中的秘密，開始妄想自己是三少，與女鬼和女友發展了一段微妙的三角戀，而當他越接近 事情的真相時，危機也開始迫近……
